Show Legislation For Area Looking 'Promising' ByRep.JimYardley District 73 The fifth week of the 46th Legislature has now concluded with some vital bills for southern Utah moving along smoothly through their process. Senate Bill 24 looks promising for the Boulder to Bullfrog scenic road appropriation. It has been tabled in the senate which is a positive note with Sen. Orrin Hatch on the floor of the State Senate speaking for the bill. Senate Bill 98 for wildlife license amendments passed the house on Friday, 43-4, but will be recalled for a technical amenddrhent. The flood bill will be worked on in this sixth week. A special session will be called later for appropriation for the funds, approximately $97 million. The tourism fund will be at least doubled which will help the Utah economy greatly. |
