Show Hatch Happenings By Velma Huntington Speakers in sacrament meeting were stake leaders Harvard Heaton and Owen Fox. A piano solo was performed by Delores Allred. Hatch ward dedicatory services for the new chapel were held Sunday at 5 p.m. Presiding was President Laurel Holman, and conducting was Bishop D. F. Bamhurst. Speakers were Bishop Bamhurst, Bob Evans, LaMar Barney and Bishop Mervin Bamhurst. Special music was provided by Gary Lewis and the choir. The dedicatory prayer was offered by President Laurel Holmaa Many stake leaders and out-of-town visitors were in attendance for the special meeting. Thursday, the Primary held a Valentine party in the cultural hall for the children. Edward Turek spent most of the week in the St. George hospital. On Thursday, Julia Turek came home on business. Accompanying her were Ada Nordell and Jeff Turek, Washington City. Edward was released from the hospital so he brought wife Julia also Lilith Wilson home. Mrs. Wilson had spent several months traveling and visiting her children. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer over the weekend were the Kent Sawyers, Jeff Sawyer and Eric Sawyer, Cedar City; the Ken Roberts, Antimony and Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Sawyer, Panguitch. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Barney were the Kenneth Barneys, Hill Air Force Base and the Dennis Daltons, Las Vegas. The Dennis Daltons also visited the Grant Daltons and accompanied them to Parowan. Others visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton were the Gilbert Clarks, Kanab; the Bruce Daltons, Panguitch; Pamela Stubbs, Lance Stubbs and Tyler Stubbs, Parowan. They all came to help Hope Dalton celebrate her birthday. Sunday evening they took Grant Dalton to the clinic in Panguitch for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder visited in Minersville with the Larry Baileys. They accompanied the Baileys to Delta to visit the Frank Lowders. Visitors at the Lowders were the Ron Riggs, Panguitch. Visiting the Calvin Wilsons were Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Allen, Cir-cleville; Agnes Wilson, Annabella and the Wilford Lanes, Page, Ariz. The Robert Craws, Minersville visited her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Lcland Riggs. Rhoana Workman and Lula Davis, Panguitch; Max Johnson, Nevada and Mr. and Mrs. Garth Workman, Cedar City visited relatives here. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heaps were the Don Heaps, Cedar City. Dan Bamhurst, Escalante spent several days visiting his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bamhurst. Visitors with Verda Sawyer and the LaVal Sawyers were Nicole Rhees, Kristin Rhees and Scott Rhees, Page, Ariz, and the Vay Sawyers, Kanab. The Vay Sawyers took Verda Sawyer to Cedar City. Eighteen of our local folks attended the basektball game in Parowan. Visiting the Carl J. Eckleys were Lucille Evans, Mike Evans and Cory Evans, Logandale, Nev. Janet Houston and her new baby, Miesha and Kristen Houston and Shannon Houston, Beaver visited the Darol Allreds and Velma Huntington. Trudy Fagg, Cedar City visited her folks, the Gary Faggs. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited Thursday in Kanab with their family. Visiting the Hun-tingtons here were the Mac Ray Julanders, Panguitch. |
