Escalante Rider Captures First Place in FFA Rodeo ESCALANTE - Emilee Lott captured first place In barrel racing at Panguitch during the Future Farmers of America Rodeos held there recently. She was awarded a buckle and first place honors for both nights' performances. This is the second year in a row that 13-year-old Emilee has won the event. The skilled young horsewoman is an honor student and member of the National Honor Society at Clark Junior High In Anchorage, Alaska. Active on both the volleyball and basketball teams at school, she still finds time to remain active in the LDS Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association as second counselor in Beehives. "Thunder", the horse she has raised from a colt, and Emilee are preparing for the County Horse Show, the Richfield 4-H Horse Show and other activities before she returns to Alaska in late August. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lott, Escalante. |
