Show For Ticaboo-Bullfrog (jjouncil Seeking Better School Communication BULLFROG Better communication with the area's school board representive is a goal agreed on for members of the Ticaboo-Bullfrog Area Council whl?h met in Bullfrog. The group drafted a letter to Diana Anderson, Antimony who represents the area on the Garfield County School district board' of education. Mrs. Anderson was elected last November and sworn in as - member in January of this year. The Antimony resident serves as a representative for a widespread area of the county in which Ticaboo and Bullfrog represent the area most remote from district headquaters in Panguitch. The next meeting of the Garfield County school board is set for May 12 in Ticaboo and the group invited Mrs. Anderson to attend the next meeting of their area council set for May 3 in Ticaboo.' The group had previously written to the board of education requesting the addition of one teacher and one full-time aide, or at least two full time aides for the 1983-1984 school year. At its early April council meeting, members also discussed the effect of proposed redistricting of school boundaries on students in the Ticaboo-Bullfrog area. Another concern of the council is its expressed need for semipermanent type structure for the school which they plan to bring to the attention of the school board as it meets in Ticaboo in May. The council invited Plateau Resources Limited's vice president, Blake Fisher, to join the ranks. It will hold its next meeting May 3 at the Ticaboo Recreation Center. |
