Show Hatch Happenings Bey Velma Huntington Relatives here received word that Lynn Evans was taken from the Dixie Medical Center by ambulance plane to Salt Lake Airport where he was taken by ambulance to the St. Marks Hospital to have special treatment on his. leg. From last reports he was feeling better. His wife Noreen was taken north by son Deloy. She is staying with Ray and Ireta Burrow, No. Ogden. Those from here attending funeral services in Panguitch for LaVerda Cooper were Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap, Maggie Barnurust, Effel Riggs, Nelda Fagg, Lilith Wilson and Velma Huntington. Priesthood men from our ward' attending sessions in the St. George LDS Temple were Wiley Huntington, LaMar Barney, Calvin Wilson and Gary Fagg. Garth Heap took Theora to Cedar City to stay with the family of JoAnne Sawyer while she went fey plane to meet daughter Cindy who has just been released from her LDS mission. Garth went on to St. George to the temple. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Turek visited several days in Washington with the Wynn Tureks. They attended church where their grandson Ricky was ordained a priest. Edward also attended sessions in thp temnle. Layton Barney also went to the temple after attending a post office convention in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited their children in Kanab. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Effel Riggs, Maggie Bar-nhurst, Lilith Wilson and Velma Huntington. Tammy Evans sang a special number accompanied by Kimberlie Evans. The Panguitch Stake Presidency met with the bishopric and other leaders of our ward and looked over the church buildings here. Visiting the Sam Evans was Marve Hyer, Cedar City. Sam and Lucille received word they had a new grandson. His parents are Vaughn and Dawn Evans, Logandale, Nev. He has a sister and brother. The Kurt Sawyers, Cedar City visited the David Sawyers during the weekend. Kurt and family accompanied his folks to Antimony to visit the Ken Roberts. Teri Dix, Price visited with her grandma Velma Huntington. Velma recieved word that her son Gam of St. George had the misfortune of' getting part of one of his fingers amputated in an accident. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sawyer visited during the week with Jason and Vaelyn Sawyer in Richfield. Vaelyn and Jason moved to Moab with her folks the Vay Sawyers. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder and Loretta visited in Glendale with the Kent Andersons, Loretta stayed overnight with the Andersons and they brought her home. The Andersons visited grandparents, the Lowders also the Arnold Sawvers while here. |
