Show Escalante Chit Chat Fay Alvey Bernard Schow improved enough to take a load of wood to Las Vegas. His partner in the wreck is going to Clem Griffin's home and return to the hospital for therapy. Nell Wooiey fell on slick steps breaking her knee; she went for x-rays but could not be cast too much swelling. A brace was put on and she was sent home to be in a wheel chair. Gayla Cardon came from St. Geroge to help care for her. Mait and Nelda Spencer were called to son Lad's bedside in Salt Lake Ctiy. Lacl went into a coma and the doctors said it may last days, so they came home. Johnny and Michelle Alvey went and wrecked enroute turning over several times, but were able to drive on in. Michele went back to Cedar City to school and Johnny came home. Virginia Munk is still hospitalized in Salt Lake City not doing well. Frank Venuti took Doug Martin and Brenda Griffin and his students in the other towns to Logan skiing. Both students from here won honors. Frank went to Cedar City for a day's schooling on his job. Pastor Kevin Seager and wife Linda came from Ogden to preside over the Baptist church members in this area. He has been mistaken for Johnny Alvey. Linda Weldon of Minnesota is here as a lady forester. The Lorenzo Griffins had grandson Richard here from Lindon. Joy Griffin spent several days in St. George seeking employment. Orilla Cowles was not feeling well and had an appointment with her doctor. Grace Barney spent some time in Cedar City with son Mack after leaving the hospital, she is home and feeling better. In sacrament meeting speakers were Carolyn and Chad Rappleye; he is employed by the telephone company. |
