Show Martin Nay Nay Named As Newest City Officer Martin Nay, 23, has been sworn in as Panguitch City's new police officer. Nay had been with the department on a trial basis for approximately ten days to famliarize himself with the job and see if he liked it. Nay has no formal training in law enforcmenet but expressed an interest in the position when an opening came upon the local force. He plans to attend the Peace Officers Standards of Training session as soon as possible. Nay said he found his introduction to law enforcement extremely interesting and challenging with great opportunity for growth and a wide variety of experience. He said that fellow officers in each law enforcmeent agency in the county have taken him under their wings and have been very helpful in his "on-the-job-training" experience. He said he has received only positive feedback from Panguitch citizens. Nay has been employed for the past four years since graduating from Panguitch High School as a meat cutter at SUE Market in Panguitch. He is a son of Junior and Karen Nay. His wife, Collette, attended Dixie College and Provo Technical College ' prior to her marriage and is currently working as a deputy assessor for . Garfield County.
