Show Another BLM Study ? The BLM in Utah is announcing the start of a ! project designed to accelerate the analysis of 75 I wilderness study areas in the state. According to BLM Utah State Director Roland Robison, the first major phase is beginning now and is expected to be completed by mid 1983. During this phase each wilderness study area will be closely examined to determine resource values and impacts of wilderness designation or non-designation. This phase will allow wide public comment and input through the various i . BLM districts and resource areas throughout the state. The second phase will be a statewide en vironmental impact statement which will analyze the full range of alternatives available within the state and will provide an overview of all BLM WSAs. This phase will again allow extensive opportunity for public comment and input. The target date for the submission of the environmental impact statement to the Bureau director is September 1984.
