Show Panguitch High School News i By Penny Sherwood BASEBALL The Panguitch Bobcats tied with the Gunnison Bulldogs in the 9th inning and due to the bad weather, both teams agreed to finish the game one day the following week. CROSSCOUNTRY "This year's cross country team will be a building program," Coach Ray Englestead said at the start of the season. And from the places the team took at Enterprise, Coach Engelstead has been right so far. Enterprise, Panguitch and Parowan participated in the meet. Together the Varsity team took 2nd place and the Junior Varisty team took 1st. Individual places were for Junior Varsity: Ronald Nez, 1st; Kevin Hepworth, 3rd; David Schow, 5th; Rip Goulding, 9th; Kerrie LeFevre, 8th and Troy Leach, 6th. Varsity team members placed: Scott Christen-sen, 3rd; Hyrum Elmer, 4th; Robert Leslie, 8th; David Nez, 6th and, Mike Baldwin, 11th. Getting out of a slump, the volleyball team won both matches against Bryce Valley and Escalante. Now that the team has come out of its shell, PHS Hopes it will stay out and go all the wav to the Ud |
