Show Issues Aired During Back to School Night Panguitch-Hatch PTSA President Karran Harris and Panguitch High School Principal LeRoy Burger both praised the success of the "Back-to-School Night" featured October 14. Both parents and students attended the meeting and voiced their opinions where nine of the 23 who joined the organization were students. The year's objectives were explained, board members introduced, and the balance of the meeting was spent in discussion of four separate Issues with Jack Soper moderating and Principal Burger presenting the school's policy and point of view. Scnool rules and regulations were discussed first, with Burger reading the recently revised draft of school rules and asking for recommendations. When completed, copies of the set of rules will be distributed to students and mailed to parents. Basketball scheduling and busing for upcoming games were discussed because of overlapping concerns. Ideas were exchanged such as having the girls play first with Junior Varsity boys and with varisty boys after. The subject of the Bobettes marching at non-home games was also considered and also the possibilit" of taking more than one ous to games was discussed. Some of the ideas were taken by Burger to the Region 12 meeting set for October 15. Under curriculum discussion, the main point was the addition of Spanish I next quarter in lieu of speech. |
