Show Four to Attend FHA State Camp Four Panguitch high school girls will attend Mill Hollow, a high Uinta mountain camp for Future Homemakers of America leaders statewide. Local chapter representatives Cherie Crosby, Cindy Breinholt, and Heidi Miller along with state vice-president LaRae Nay will leave Sunday for the popular summer camp August 4 through 6 with their advisor, April Herman. The Panguitch Chapter held a bake sale Tuesday as a final fund-raising event to earn expenses for the trip. They expressed their gratitude to Panguitch supporters who had contributed generously to permit their participation in the event. Advisor Herman and Miss Nay recently returned from participating in the FHA National Convention at St. Louis, Mo., where, as Utah state vice-president of FHA, Miss Nay served as a member of the FHA national committee. She and 11 other students from Utah who attended the St. Louis convention will direct the Mill Hollow camp and its activities for the three day period. Information gleaned from the convention will be presented to FHA chapter representatives from all over Utah. Emphasis will be on a new nutritional program "The Student Body", incorporating proper diet, exercise and weight control. All foods and snacks planned for the three day camp, are , designed to carry out the health theme. |
