Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Visiting the Arnold Adairs were Brigit Steiert and Ute Seigel from Freiburg, West Germany. The girls have been touring the United States since July 4th and said they were very impressed with the beauty of Bryce Canyon. The Bart Palmers spent July 24th with the Afton Pollocks. Vance and Jeannene Pollock went back home with them to help them move to Loa, where Bart will be the Wayne High School principal. David Shakespear is staying with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Shakespear, while working at Ruby's Inn. The Malen and Ira Littlefields went on a fishing trip and on Kolob mountain. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Adair visited the Arnold Adairs. Arnold, Larry and Shane fished at Otter Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Pollock, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Chynoweth, Mr. and Mrs. David Mathews, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair, Kim Ott and Kathy 4 Day is had a buffet dinner at the Foster Steak house, as members of the 1975 class of Bryce Valley High School held its class reunion. Corrections from last week: Mr. and Mrs. Devar Pollock visited in Tropic with their brother and sister. Bill Pollock and Dori Baugh were the ones attending summer school. Mae Chynoweth and Mira Loy Ott were babysitters for the Bo Jo Ott children while parents were away on business. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ott have a grandson born to daughter Tammy and Ren Allen in Salt Lake City. His brother and sister are staying with the Ott grandparents for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bybee have a grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Bybee in St. George. We are proud of the Bryce Valley All-star Little League baseball players, and Crystal Mangum for her home run. It was the only one made by a girl player in the ball park in Cedar City. Luella Mangum had all her children home for a reunion: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hobson of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ward Mangum of St. George; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Cottam of St. George; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mangum and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mangum of Tropic. A family dinner was served at the Paul Mangum home. Ruth Baugh took the Tropic children to Richfield on business. Kathleen Shumway, the former Joan Daly and Elaine Sheets, visited Tom Richards. Brant and Shanna Barton ate at the Berdell Bartons. Brant is helping his father remodel their home. Bernus and Dallas Christensen visited the Sherman Baughs. Juanita Pollock was home. The Kent Wintchs have daughter Charlene visiting them. A stake fireside will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in Cannonville. The people of the Tropic area were saddened to hear of the ac- cident in Yellowstone Park when Larry Hobbs was critically injured. He is in the hospital in Billings, Mont. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hobbs. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Willis visited son Kay Mar and Flora LeFevre. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Kay Mar Willis, Carl Shakespear, Blaine Anderson, Sherrell Ott and Vernal Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Stewart of Yuma, ariz. are visiting the Reginald Stewarts. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Shakespear suffered a broken arm when he fell from the step at the Tropic ward. Luana Riddle is the new organist for Primary. Mr. and Mrs. Franz Shakespear attended a reunion in Idaho. Darlene and Grant LeFevre visited the Adrian Pollocks. Kim and Carolyn Alvey visited the Royal Alveys. The Ricky Bybees had the Orlan Ruesch family and Renone's sister, Geraldine, from Las Vegas, Nev. visiting. Cliff and Linda Barton were home. The Earl Jolleys visited daughter Helen in St. George and helped her celebrate her birthday. The Ursel Otts enjoyed a visit from granddaughter, Lori and husband. The Richard Ray family spent Sunday in Tropic. Rett and Christine Shakespear visited the E. R. Shakespears and attended the wedding open house for Christine's sister, Joann in Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Chris White of Washington visited the Clive Bybees. The Bybees were also happy to have a surprise visit from their former foster Indian girl, Rosie Upshaw, and three children. |
