Show Hatch Happenings Reva Lowder 735-4203 The members of Effel Riggs families met at the Forest Ranger Park, cast of Gunnison on July 23 to 26 and Lucille and Forrest Hill were over the reunion. Over 50 members were present coming from St. George and all the way between to Salt Lake City. The Thomas H. Sawyer family reunion was held at Duck Creek with 65 members present. The families of Hy and Mae Evans met at the Hatch Cultural Hall July 26 with over 80 members present. They came from Kentucky to California and all over Utah and Nevada. The Samuel J. Barn-hurst family reunion was held in the cultural hall on Saturday. They came from Nevada, Utah and Arizona. An open house was held Friday for newlyweds) Lloyd and Helen Allred of Lexington, Ky. They visited grandmother Velma Huntington. Other visitors were the Pat Dixs, Roberta, April and Kristy Barabas, Panguitch; Mr. and Mrs. Darol Allred and Delores and Jody, Kentucky. The Richard Dixs, Mr. and Mrs. Casey Dix, Melodie Russell, Kelly Dix, Mark Rasmussen and Roxann; Barbara Huntington and David Rhees all of St. George, June Richardson' and Laura Campbell, Salt' Lake City, visited the Lloyd Alfreds. Mrs. Lynn Savage of Antimony visited the Nile Sawyers. Visiting the David and the Nile Sawyers were the Leon Wooleys, the Jack Spencers, the Lee Porters, Orem; the Roy and the Kevin Shakespears, Tropic and Jeffrey and Eric Sawyer, also the Kurt Sawyers, Cedar City, Valeene Roberts and children, Antimony. The Larry Baileys, Minersville; the Max Burrows, Ftedonia, and the Ron Riggs, Panguitch, visited the Karl Lowders. Visiting Maggie Barn-hurst were the Bert Bamhursts and daughter Linda. Those attending the testimonial in Cedar City for Cindy Sawyer, prior to her leaving for the mission home were Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap, May and Kent Sawyer, Valeene Roberts and children, the Leon Wooleys and Rose Mary Porter. Merlin Barnhurst, Salt Lake City came to join his family here. Dallas and Diane Barnhurst are parents of a baby boy born July 27. He has two sisters. Mr. and Mrs John Riggs, Laytcn; the Duard Riggs and Debbie Massucotte, N.H.; Mrs. Elsie Clifton, SeatUe, Wash, and the Les Footes, Salt Lake City, visited Mr. and Mrs. Orlas Riggs. Visiting the Arnold Sawyers and the Karl Lowders were the Kent Andersons, Velta, Verla and Vaneta Sawyer of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mack and Cassie; Mr. and Mrs. Ed McQuirk and daughter Autumn, Park City; Jennifer Mack, Provo and Mr. and Mrs. James Prietz, CAlifomia were at the Mack home. The Prietz had a car wreck south of Hatch and were taken to the hospital in Panguitch where they were treated for minor injuries then released to continue to California. Malessa Marck left with Jennifer to seek employment in Provo. Those visiting the Grant Daltons and LaMar BArneys were the Wayne Stubbs, Parowan; the Gib Clarks, Kanab; Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Walker and sons, the Dennis Daltons, all Las Vegas. e Visiting the Sam Evans family were the Gary Evans, Logandale, Nev. and the Vaughn Evans, St. George. The J.A. Fallis family held its reunion in Parowan Canyon on Saturday. Those staying to visit mother Abbie Fallis were the Francis Semors, Idaho; the Stan Halls and Julia Wise of West Point. |
