Show NOTICE TO WATER I'SERS The following applications have been filed with the State Engineer to appropriate water in Garfield County throughout the entire year unless otherwise designated Locations in SLBAM. 51489 (89-1256) Carl Ellis Shakespcar, PO Box 13, Tropic, UT 015 sec. ft. of water is to be diverted from a 5-foot well, 16-20 ft deep, at a point S. 3360 ft W. 1387 ft from the NE Cor Sec. 1, T37S, R3W (2 mi SE Tropic); and used for the domestic purposes of 1 family, and from Apr 1 to Oct. 31 for the irrigation of 25 acs. in N'SE4 Sec. 1. T37S, R3W 51551 (63-2256) Robert J Murdock & Geralee S. Murdock. joint tenants. 2964 E. 3135 S., SL UT 2500 sec. ft and 150 ac. ft. of watef is to be diverted from Sevier River at the following 5 points: 1) N. 3860 ft E. 1875 ft. 2) S. 9530 ft E. 80 ft. both from SW Cor. Sec 5, T26S, R4W S Sevier); 3) N. 2710 ft E 3040 ft from SW Cor. Sec 34, T28S, R3W (6 mi NJunc.); 4) S. 9080 ft. E 1130 ft from the NE Cor. Sec 5, T31S, R4W (5 mi SW Circleville); 5) N. 3590 ft E 640 ft from the SW Cor. Sec 5, T26S. R4W (S Sevier). The water will be used from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 for the non consumptive purposes of five hydroelectric power generation stations. The water will be stored from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 in the following reservoirs: Da dam 20 ft. high creating a reservoir having an 80 ac. ft. capacity inundating 8 acs. in NW'4 Sec. 5, T26S, R4W; 2) a dam 10 ft. high creating a reservoir having a 5 ac. ft. capacity in SWI4SWV4 Sec. 17, T26S, R4W; 3) a dam 30 ft. high creating a reservoir having a 65 ac. ft capacity in the SW Sec 8, WW Sec. 17, T31S, R4W. The applicant proposes to lease shares of water to be released downstream to compensate for the initial 150 ac. ft. of dead storage. The water will be returned to the natural stream at the following points: 1) E. 3440 ft. N. 5500 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 5.T26S.R4W; 2) E. 520 ft S 5500 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 5. T26S, R4W; 3) E. 2500 ft N. 10,060 ft. from SW Cor. Sec. 34, T28S, R3W; 4) E. 250 ft. S. 4000 ft. from NE Cor. Sec. 4, T31S, R4W. Protests resisting the granting of these applications with reasons therefore must be filed in duplicate with the State Engineer, 442 State Capitol, SLC, UT 84114 on or before Oct 7, 1978 DeeC.
