Show j Boulder Sews LeNora LMN Betty Wingfield flew to Luvdock, Texas where she enjoyed a wonderful week with her son Tom, daughter Jeanie Leser and family and mother Bernice Spurgeon of West Virginia. Margie Spencer, economic teacher of the Escalante High School completed her sewing class held in the recreation room of the church house A large group of ladies attended the classes. Elaine Roundy and daughters Brenda and Roberta spent a day in Cedar City shopping for school clothes. Emma Jane Hansen visited with her daughter Annlee Webster and daughters at Brigham City and with Deloras Cook and family at Kaysville this past week. Mac and LeNora LeFevre and Burke Hafen attended the Eli and Amplus LeFevre family reunion held at the Tropic Scout House August 26 Otto and Idona Haws dined at the Al Foster stake house then went to the rodeo at Ruby Inn's. Gladys IeFevre was released as 1st counselor in MIA and was sustained as 2nd counselor in Relief Society. Pamela Jepsen was sustained as 1st counselor and Elaine Roundy as 2nd counselor in Primary with Cynthia Wilson sustained as secretary, in sacrament meeting August 27. Speakers were Glenneth Iwellan arvj Bob 1 j Bockholt. Dan and Vickey Coleman were in Rich field on business. J. C. and Lois Moosman and daughter of Tucson, Ariz, visited with his parents Doyle and Nina Moosman. Fay Jepsen and Pamela Jepsen were in Panguitch. Bill and Donna Peck returned home after spending the summer in eastern Utah Lerene Meisenbach and girl friend from Chicago flew to Hawaii for a vacation. Paul and Martha Reynolds and son Robert are visiting with her mother Dora Wright and husband Obe of Valinda, California. Marty Ormond went back to Rock Springs, Wyo. where he has employment with a drilling company Jim Gregory flew in from Hawaii to look after his property in Salt Gulch Five guests of honor joined the community in a cookout August 20. They were from the community progress judges touring southern Utah and visiting each park enroute. The cookout was ihcld in the new park in central Boulder with most of our towns people present. Woodruff and Amy Alexander of Brigham City were guests at the Sam Crosby home Sam and Woodruff went through school together |
