I have worked all summer on my garden and have gotten a few peas and other small vegetables. I was proud of the proceeds until I saw the beauitful specimens taken from other Panguitch gardens. If some can do it surely the rest of us can. Dale and Elaine Baldwin has tried something this summer I feel is worth mentioning Maybe you have noticed their black lava rock wall around their house This isn't just for beauty, there is madness in their method This year in stead of growing a large garden they planted their garden around their house and at the base of their black well The black wall keeps warmer longer causing the plants to grow faster Try touching a black rock later in the evening it may surprise you how long the warmth is retained compared to a light one The Senior Citizens of Garfield County under the directin of Afton Church should be com mended for the nice dance they were in charge of There were about 40 senior citizens that attended the program then stayed for the dance. The Rose family from Henrieville really played a big part in the program and the dance Families are the most important institution in the world The David Rose family is a fine example of this.
