Hilo has daughter Cheryl here to keep him company. Patsy Cottam and Usher Spencer took Eva to Richfield to the hopsital and left her. Usher goes back and forth. Reed and Nell Wooley went North where he had an appointment with his doctor. Vera Davis is feeling some better, her son Vernon and family came from Richfield bringing steaks and cooked dinner which brightened her day considerably. Sox and Effie Spencer had Neal Julander and 2 boys here from Vernal for the weekend. Lcann could not come as the little girl had chicken pox. The Delane Griffins had Ann and Val Haws and son here from St. George. The young people we noticed home for the long weekend were Mark Griffin, Patrice Haws, Cammile Spencer, Brenda and Julie Shurtz, Natalie Bailey, Sloan and Kevin Porter, Gary Llston and Wayne Alvey. Barbara Munson and some friends came from Logan. Don and Sheryl Shurtz and Sharon Griffin were home for the weekend. Roe and Clema Barney and two youngest boys of Page spent the weekend here helping their mothers Grace Barney and Jane Woolsey. Evadean and Beth Listen and Steve Blakey came home to get ready for the wedding. Edna Andregg of Green River came to visit the Mclnelly people here. The Stan Listens had Bun Young and Shelly Adair here from Caliente, Nev. for the weekend. They all explored the Devils Rock Garden. Verge Spencer took his family bMk to Rtchfietd to the denttet, they visited relatives in Kingston. The Marvin Mounteers had son Jerry and family here from Cedar City, Marva and Peggy from Salt Lake City. Bob Manker is In the Garfield Memorial Hospital recovering from surgery. Meiba Brooks, Lenora and Leah Griffin had business in Cedar City. Rex Lawrence and family were here from Heber to check on things. They are moving back when school is out. They had a full house as Ella Marie Buhn had her parents here from Salt Lake City. Sacrament meeting was a testimonial for Wayne Pollock who is going on an LDS mission to Texas. His mother Jaleen, her husband Dwight Vance and sister Kozan came from New Mexico. Jack and Mae Chynoweth, Deon and Erma Winch, Herman and Zorabell Pollock and a large number of young people came from Tropic. The speakers were Jaleen, Herman Pollock, Wayne and Bp. Marsh, Kozan, Michelle Listen, Donene Griffin sang accompanied by Louise Llston. Robert Listen announced the program and talked briefly. The Tom Sanborns had the Dale Henries and lamuy 01 u Lake City for the weekend. Also their son Tim came from California bringing a load of furniture. Grant Llston accompanied me to Panguitch for a meeting of the Senior Citizens committee. We picked up Marion and Vera Shakespear in Tropic. They gave us a guided tour of the old hospital being remodeled for a Senior citizen center, the work is progressing nicely. Grant drove the minibus back home so we can take some trips. Visited Lettie Boyce at the hospital and she said she Is feeling much better, Bob Manker was asleep but the nurse said he was doing ok. Clyde and Teri Christensen and baby of Cedar City were here at the Freeland Alvey home. A baby shower was held at the Arden Taylor home for Janalee Spencer. Friends and realtives brought gifts and stayed to visit. Robert Smith pulled the tendons on his ankle and walks with one crutch. February is the month of birthdays of great men, Washington and Lincoln, and I remember when we honored each one separately In a special way, now they choose a Monday and call it Presidents Day. |
