Show Heavier Fines For Violation Of Dog Statute Pangultch City Is having a major problem with dogs and has announced they are going to enforce stricter penalties for infractions of the law. In the past, the first time a dog is picked up it has cost the owner 15. The second time, $10 and the third time the dog Is destroyed. Now the first offense will cost the owner $23; second off ense $50 & third time the deg will be destroyed. Another problem the city has had in the past was for the owners to release the dogs themselves. If anyone is caught releasing the dogs other than the Pangultch City Dog patrolman, they will be fined a maximum of $299. The Pangultch City Dog patrolman will also be issued a tranquilizer gun to assist In picking up stray dogs. The hours still required to tie up dogs up are between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. However the council urges the owners to watch their dogs even after turning them lose as they are getting into sheep between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Any dog caught molesting sheep will be shot on the spot |
