Show Etcalante Girl Scoutt hold certificate they' received for telling bonus cookies during recent sale. From the left are Daleea Rennet, Escalante Girl Scouts Win Merit Certificate ESCALANTE - The Girl Scouts of Troop 388 in Escalante under leader Cherie Beebe received a certificate of merit in recognition and appreciation for an outstanding effort and accomplishments during the 1976 annual girl scout cookie sale, according to' Nancy Jane Bales, Salt Lake City, president of the drive and Beverly San-dberg, Salt Lake City, cookie chairman. There were six girls selling cookies and five of them sold bonuses, beyond 75 boxes each. The girls and leader went to the bicentennial encampment Hfth Schow. Tracy Mitchell. Cherl Beebe. Instructor, Sheila Beebe and Stephanl Shurts. held Friday and Saturday and Sunday at Camp Williams. There were 2,000 girls from Arizona, Utah and Nevada. At the camp there were special bicentennial programs and in the afternoon , Friday workshops were" held. These girls went to four of the many classes held: Dutch over cooking. Churning butter, wash clothes with an old fashioned hand wringer and quilting. The whole group also participated in square dancing. |
