Show Bryce Valley Track Teams Do Well Bryce Valley's girls track meet under coach Karen Ott did well at the state track meet at Snow College in Ephralm. Jeanne Rose broke a new state record in the discus by throwing 102 feet and 11 inches. The old record was 93 feet. Kathl Littlefield placed 6th in the 880; Cynthia Johnson, fourth in jump and third in the 440 and mile relay team placed second. Team members are Cynthia Johnson, Kathi Littlefield, Ann Barker and Rhonda Pollock. The graduating athletes are Monte Twitchell, Layne LeFevre, Alfred Foster, Kevan Bybee and Darrell Shakespear. The four track team members going to state were Martin Ramsey in the 880; Kevan Bybee, shot put; discus and javlin; Alfred Foster in javlin-and pole vault and Vard Shakespear in the shot put, The boys placing in state were Kevan Bybee, sixth in the discus and Martin Ramsey, fifth in the 880 yard dash. |
