Show Panguitch Patter Grace McAllister I7C-26M There were three deaths In town last week: Wilford Roe, Emma Houston and Eldon LeFevre. All their families were here to the services. Also two former residents died, Joseph C. Worthen, Tooele and Sherman Eyre, Bountiful. Carl and Ann Farns worth, Wayne and Sandra Hoi man, Vern and June Robinson and LaMotte and Sandra Houston spent a week vacationing on a big house boat on Lake Powell. Mrs. Ellice Cooper spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Cooper and family in Syracuse. Silas and Nellie Crosby were visitors at the Art Crosby and Mayo Riggs home. Visiting at the Vernon Reid home were Mr. and Mrs. Jake Christensen and family, Granger; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green and family, Bountiful. They all enjoyed dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Moore. Cynthia Moore came down with them. Robert and Beth Evans, Las Vegas, spent a few days with her mother,, Jessie Cherrington. Susan and Calvin Allred, Mesa, were guests at the home of her parents, Kern and Grace Owens. Calvin returned to Mesa but Susan and children will visit here for awhile. Julie and Joe McMuUins, St. George, visited Mr. and Mrs. Owens. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Ramona Olevson was here with her mother, Fay Lynn. Irene Beckstrom and Evadean Swains, South Gate, Calif., have been here with their sister, Elfa Tebbs. Myrtle Prince, Provo, took them to Salt Lake City to see Sears Rlggs. Mr. and Mrs. Don Worthen. Mrs. Elsie Hatch and Mrs. Donna Marshall attended funeral services in Kearns for Joseph Worthen. Lena Daly was honored guest at a special Mothers Day and birthday party at the home of her daughter, Wenda Mae Tebbs in Red Canyon. Mrs. June Owens visited in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Shirley Barton and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Henrie. June's granddaughter, Keri Dettamenti of Cedar City, won third place in the State bicentennial essay contest. Her themewas"com mercialization, The Blight of the bicentennial. Ida Heywood, Salt Lake City, is a guest at the home of Ruth Henrie. She came for the funeral services of her sister, Emma Houston. The Art Crosbys had all their family home this week. Mrs. Mari Lou Pearson. Orem, is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monte Marshall. Visiting the Earl Roes was Lt. Russell E. Roe, Loring Air Force Base, Maine. He was able to secure a five day emergency leave to attend his grandfathers funeral. Barbara Roe is on state tour with SUSC accapella choir and Ijand. Dale and Pat Butler, Calif., are the new owners of the Lake View Resort. The resort owners all welcomed the Butlers, Rustic Lodge; Joe and Ella Stuart, Panguitch Lake Resort; Ron and Martha Earley, Beaver Dam LocUe. Bill and Sarah Kay just returned from Anaheim, Calif., where they spent time with their new granddaughter, Larisa Lynn Decker. She is the daughter of Lorena and Joe Decker.- Larisa's other grandparents are Udell Decker, Parowan, and Mrs. Marvin Richens, Salt Lake City. Dr. and Mrs. Jed Cooper just-returned from a 25 day trip to Denton, Texas visiting their son and family, Dr. and Mrs. J. Arthur Cooper. Mr. Cooper came back to spend a couple of weeks with his parents. Visiting over the weekend at Mr, and Mrs. Tom Proctors home were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Witters, Page, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Pearson, Las Vegas, Vickie Blake, Granger. Judy Mann, Sandy, and Sam Johnson, Ely, Nev., visited with Mrs. Alta Orton over the weekend. |
