Clyde Spencer went to Provo where he had an appointment with his doctor. Lillie accompanied him, and their grandson, Kevin Porter did the driving. Emmorn Dodds went to Panguitch to have Dr. Duggins sew up a cut above his eye, It seems he was struck by a guided muscle. Daniel and Orilla Cowles are home after being gone since the first of Nov. After getting out of the hospital they stayed with son, Alvin for U days, then went to Delta at the home of Glen and Coleen Imlay. They were anxious to come on home but Coleen talked them Into staying and it was a good thing as Daniel developed a blood clot and had to be rushed back to Salt Lake City to the hospital. Coleen drove their car home and they say they are fine now. Orilla thinks her hip is going to be much better than it was before. Coleen drove the Imlay car back to Delta taking Prank and Idella to spend the holidays. Glen Imlay has gone on a John Deere Fly-in, he took over the dealership and the company sent him on an all expense paid trip. He and two other fellows drove to Pocatello, Ida. then flew to Waterlow, Iowa and Molene, 111., visiting the plants and factories. lone Barney got word of the death of her brother, Dr. Lorin Shurtz of California. lone and Alice Ann Lyman spent several days at Las Vegas. Wayne Barney went to Phoenix, Ariz, to visit family members. Patrice Griffin and Beth LI t on were home for the weekend. So were Jim and Lola Alvey and boys. It snowed up north and Jim could not work so he came homeand. worked for me and his other mother, Evadean Llston. The Relief Society and the DUP held their annual holiday parties. We Golden Agers had a dance with music by the A's and G's orchestra. The crowd was not big but very choice. The ladies with husbands graciously allowed them to dance with members of the Lonely Hearts group. Sloan Porter stayed overnight In the Panguitch hospital with some sirus but had to hurry home to play ball against Beaver who beat the local team. Ardis Christensen put on a baby shower for daughter, Julie Lyman. Arthur was here with her. Ruth Hale is finally home after an extensive visit with family members in the St. George and Las Vegas area. Rex Allen went north to get Eva out of the hospital. He took his brother, Loyd back to his home in Richfield. Loyd has been visiting his sister, Ruth Alvey. Betty Alvey went to Cedar City to bring daughter, Irene home for the holidays. She invited Sariah Alvey and me to go along. Thelma Marsh was there helping Kathleen Woolsey get ready for Christmas, Dale went after her and took Retha Shurtz to do some shopping. Others having business there were Leo and Welden Wilson, DeLayne, Leah and Dawn Griffin, Barbara McKelvey, Vergean and Carolyn Porter, Twila Mclnelly, and Florence Alvey. Florence stayed there to shop and visit her daughters, Helen and Lucinda. Millie Mclnelly and Gwen Lyman went to Richfield for a load of feed and to do some Christmas shopping. They had quite a load on and got to Junction when a passing motorist signaled them that something was missing from the back of their load. They stopped and found quite a large part of their gifts had fallen off. The motorist Informed them that they had lost it in Joseph and that some residents had picked it up. They went back and recovered all of their belongings which shows that there are still honest folk. Others going to Richfield were the Cowles pt-ople Ludle, Carolyn, Donald, Lane and Geraldine Llston. Malen, Angela and Viva Mecham of Tropic visited the Malen Meachams here. Judy and Mel Brooks hart her parents here from Colorado. Reed and WUmirth Woolsey went to Salt Lake City, Nell Barker accompanied and went by bus on to Colorado to spend Christmas with daughter, Betty Jean Ross and family. She said they had better enjoy her this trip as she is not going again. In sacrament meeting Sunday the program was put on by the seminary with Pres. Gregory Vidrine in charge talks were given by Shirlee Curlee, Dan Johnson, Barbara Munson, Vadis Christensen Dal Llston and Gary Fontaine. Cindy Fontaine sang.
