Show The Word From Boulder BY ALICE ALVEY There are half a dozen surveyors here for a six weeks stay surveying the road down the rocks and up toward upper Boulder. Incidentally the Boyington Lookout Cut was never widened, It was a winter Job and now spring's come its been postponed. The Calf Creek trail being built to the Lower Falls is near completion. Fish and Game men were in town again last week. The inly wild things we see around are the rabbits who seem to have tripled their population the past month or so. Dora Wright and Kay Orm-ond went to Panguitch recently Kay got her driver's license renewed, she took Dora along to drive home Just in case she didn't. Kay and Carter are In Brawey. Calif.. Carter's feeding cattle there for his boss who bought June King's ranch in Wayne Co Carter will go there when he returns in few weeks. They stopped In Cedar to visit their kids Clyde and Linda on their way down. LaRena Hall attended a meeting about the Wilderness situation, and luncheon in Escalante last week. Cathleen Winter and kids and Lorane Lyman spent the weekend at our place Things are stsrting to green up in spite of the weather being quite chilly The apricot trees are almost in bloom The oil well on Home Bench start 'd on the 14th. They are hauling water from the canal here in town. |
