Show Hotch Happenings BY REVA LOWDER DUP meeting was held at the home of Ardis Evans on Thursday, quilting was enjoyed by the group. Refreshments were served by Ardis. Maggie Barnhurst was released as captain and Arlene Haney and Wanda Wilson as assistants. Gal Wilcock was sustained as captain and Julia Turek and Arlene Haney as assistants. Other officers remained in their positions. Thursday Calvin Wilson took Thcora Heap to Cedar to visit her children there for awhile, then Calvin went on to St. George to get his son Curtis: on their way back they stopped for Ruth and Charlotte who accompanied them to Salt Lake Friday where Curtis en-tred the mission home. The Priesthood sponsored a missionary party in the ward hall Saturday, dinner was served family style to a large crowd. Mrs. Arthur Sawyer and Mrs. Ed Turek were overnight patients in the Pangultch hospital last week; Mrs. Cal Burrows spent the week there. The Primary presented a program in Sacrament meeting Sunday, Primary Stake visitors were Orene Miller and June Owens. (continued inside) Hatch (continued from front page) Mrs. Lowell Huntington of Sugsrville visited the Wiley Huntingtons a few days last week Mr. snd Mrs. Huntington went to Kanab Frldsy evening and accompanied Allen Huntington to the Temple Saturday. The Gib Clarks of Kanab and the Bernell Crofts and son of Ordervine visited the Grant Daltons Saturday and Sunday. Word wis received of the death of Jack Woodard and Mr and Mrs Orson Rarnhurst left Thursday for Henderson, Nevada to attend the funeral services. Several people attended sessions at the St George Temple Saturday Francis Porter took Boy Scouts Kenneth Bamey, Kei-vln Yassle on an overnight camping trip Friday to Glen Canyon and lake Powell. Making trips to Cedar were Idonna and Val Dean Deuel, Reva. Karleta, Mary Beth and laretta Lowder, Noreen Evans, Gal and Tanya Wllcock and Hope Dalton. Karl Lowder and Lynn Evans of Bullfrog spent the week end home with their families. Saturday Ron Riggs visited at the Lowders. Visiting Thursday and Friday at the Oliver Huntingtons and Grant Daltons were Gary and Kirk Evans of Las Vegss, Vaughn and Greg Evans of St. George. Mr. snd Mrs. Sam Evans of St. George visited in town on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Goose-low of Wickenburg, Ariz have moved Into the Evans home here. Gale and Connie Burrows of St George were dinner guests Saturday at the James Burrows home. The Darel Sawyers of Ord-ervllle and the John Sawyers of Cedar spent the weekend at the Arthur Sawyers. The Gam Wilcocks of Mesa, Arizona visited the Gale Wilcocks last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Kilburn Wilson made a business trip to Salt Lake last week. The Newell Duttons spent several days in St. George. The Dick Harrisons of Dixie visited in town Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Barn-hurst and children of Cedar visited at the Eric Barnhursts. Georgia Gunn of Salt Lake visited her folks, the Nile Sawyers, and Rodney. The Van Neilsons of Panguitch visited at the Ray Workman home Saturday. Visiting Monday at the Garth Heaps were the Ronald Sawyers of Cedar, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Judd of Panguitch and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Heap, he has been stationed at a base in Texas. The Delin Crofts of Vernal visited over the weekend with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans. The Layton Barneys visited in Kanab Sunday with the Don L Ipsons. Craig was home for the weekend from college and Greg Evans of St. George accompanied him back Sunday. The Roy Shakespears of Tropic visited the David Sawyers Monday. |
