Show Henrieville News Items MELBA D SMITH The people of Henrieville want to express their appreciation to the Bryce Valley Lions Club members for their efforts in getting TV Channel 4 in for our town. We thank them for all the work they have done on the TV problems. Our Town Board will conduct a town clean up day on Saturday, April 19. Everyone is asked to cooperate with them on this clean up day. Marion Willis has been appointed as beautlficatlon chairman, with Jan Colliding and Iris Bushnell as members of the committee. Harry and Neca Baugh from Ogden visited with his brother Benjamin and Elizabeth Baugh for Easter. Our Primary day has been changed from Monday to Wednesday for the summer. Birthdays this week are Ben Lee Smith and Guy Evans. Anniversaries this month are Al-lene Riddles and Virginia Smith. Several people atended the Stake quarterly conference meetings at Escalante on Saturday and Sunday, and also participated in the Stake Gold and Green Ball held there Saturday night The Henrieville Irrigation Company advertises for bids for water master for 1969. They have to be submitted by April 22 to Melba D. Smith, Secretary. Bids should be made on a monthly basis. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Mclnel-ly were weekend visitors with their daughter Edith and Anion Barker and family. Clem Johnson of Provo visited a few days In town last week and helped with eome farm virk Conrad Johnson waa home from CSU for the week-I nd. Kay and Laura Clark of Glen Canyon visited over the weekend at the Eugene Quilter home. Bishop Bryan Johnson wu the speaker In Sacrament mooting Sunday. Hcrschcl, Mada and Beth Partner and Keith and Cora Jo' nson and family spent Easier with the Glen Martin family at St. George. The Alfred Partner family of Page visited the Hcrshcl Partners Saturday. On March 28th Mrs Kath-ryn Pollock flew to Hawaii to visit her husband David for a week, he was there on his R and R period from Vietnam. Se reports he la fine and that Hawaii was beautiful. Kenneth Gouldlng, Sr. made a business trip to Richfield on Wednesday. Cloyd and Jennie Nellson and Lula Moore went to Rich-MM last Wednesday. They met Liza and Dewey Moore and visited with them; they wore on their way to Pangultch from Salt Lake after Dewsy was there for medical care Then on Sunday Frank and Lula Moore visited them at Pangultch. Ora and Rhoda Shafer received word of a new granddaughter born to Donna and Duane Metcalf on April 9th. She has a sister at home to welcome her. Paula Shafer of Cedar City was home for the weekend at the Shafer home |
