Ella Adair will be in the Home Ec room one day a week to help on Vocational projects, girls can contact her about the time she is there to help them. The Lynn Richards family of Kanab spent the weekend at the Thomas Richards home. The Thomas Richards' received word of the birth of a new granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Henderson in Las Vegas last week. Maureen Pollock is home from Girl's State and thanks the Pangultch Legion Auxiliary and Better Homes Club for the wonderful experience. Frances Shakespear is home aftcr a three months visit with "her son Harold in Alaska. Nell Wilson and Dee Riding attended a Wilson reunion in Mesa, Arizona last week. Jerry Smith has the children of the Allan Smith's visiting with her. JoAnn Munson had- a birthday party last week. The elders quorum members and their partners enjoyed a mutton fry at Cooks Ranch Wednesday night. The Scouts are home from Maple Dell camp. The Bert Milletts' son Paul was elected a member of, the Order of the Arrow; he Is the 3rd Tropic boy to receive this special scout honor. Rella Alvey, Mabel Ott, Esther and Carol Adair visited in Cedar City recently with Fae Ott and family. The Ira Littlefields visited in Cedar City Sunday. The Ursel Otts have their grandchildren from Ogden visiting with them. Ursel has a new pickup truck. Marion Clark was the speaker in Sacrament meeting Sunday. Clella Littlefield, the Jay Littlefields, the Lanny little-fields, the Mazel Littlefields, and her' youngest daughter, and their families spent the weekend with Maud Hall and other relatives In town. Bonnie Mecham and children visited the Malen Mechams over the weekend. The Clarence Jolley family Is visiting Thelma Jolley. Thel-ma received word that her son Evan has a broken leg, received while riding a horse. Jerry LeFevre is home for a short furlough from the Air Force, before reporting to his new base in Mt. Home, Idaho. Special certificates for scouting were presented in church Sunday to scouters and explorers. Melvin Beard was in an auto accident on the Cottonwood road when returning to Tropic from Arizona. Arnold Adair made a business trip to Salt Lake this week. |
