Show Hatch REV A LOWDER The DUP Teen Carnival was held here Saturday evening with a nice sized crowd. With the help of visitors at our Sacrament meeting Sunday the attendance was 109 per cent. Speakers were Varue Wilson and Elder Delten Campbell who has just returned from the Netherlands mission after serving there 2V6 years. A special number was a song by Del-ten's sisters Yvonne Wilson, Nelda Fagg, Florene and Ron-da Campbell. Yvonne Wilson was released as Primary councelor and Flor-iene Barney sustained. Del Barnhurst was advanced to a. Teacher in the Priesthood. The C. D. Campbells had all their family home for the first time in several years, also all , 14 grandchildren and. all, son-' in-laws 'but 6ne."Thls'"incIude"d the Ladd Holts, the Gary Faggs, the Allen Taylors of Salt Lake; the Russell Wilsons of Salina, Mrs. Philip Robertson and children of Alton, Ronda, Florene and Elder Delten Campbell. Florene accompanied Gary Fagg to Salt Lake where she will visit the Holts for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Don Heap of Cedar visited them a few days. The Wallace Heaps of Cedar are visiting the Heaps and Mrs. J. E. Riggs for a week. The E. F. Tureks received word of a new granddaughter born in Los Angeles on June 8 to Tom and Katherlne Winn, she has a brother to help welcome her. Ed was home for the weekend. Mrs. Robert Palmer and sons of Nevada are visiting this week with the T. H. Sawyers. Weekend visitors In town were the Stanton Sawyers of St. George, Earl, Bobby and Larry Sawyer, Lynn Evans and LaVor Deuel. Mrs. Lolita Wiley and two daughters of So. Carolina vis- ited a few days with the Orson Barnhursts. David, Duane and Larry Barnhurst returned to the. South with Lolita Sunday after a week's visit here with their grandparents and their father Bert Barnhurst. Jack and Del Woodard of Nevada also visited the Barnhursts. Paul Wilson of Orem is spending the summer here with his grandparents, the Paul L. Wilsons. Ned, David and Debra Dal- ton, Elmer Roundy, Wayne Hainsworth, of Las Vegas, and Vance Evans, of Salt Lake are visiting the Grant Daltons. Gib and Shan Clark of Kanab were weekend visitors. Visiting Mrs. Abbie Fallis on Friday and Saturday was her grandson Dennis Simmons of McCammon, Idaho. Mrs. Gam Blackburn and children of Or-derville visited her Saturday and Sunday., Karl Lowder spent the week-A end at home, Mrs. Lowder and two daughters returned to Salt Lake with him to visit awhile. Karleta is staying with grandparents, the Oliver Hunting-tons. Kirk Evans and Gloria Jolley of Cedar City spent the weekend with the Sam Evans'. Evan Wilcock of Cedar spent several days with his parents, the Gale Wilcocks. Elgen Sawyer is home after visiting Ruth in Salt Lake for a week. His grandson Mark Sawyer of Elberta returned here with him to visit for the summer. Dsle and Dianne Porter went to Calif, for the summer where they have employment. Wanda Shakespear of Tropic visited in town Saturday. Visiting the Bob Evans family for several days were the Ronald Youngs of Las Vegas. The H. V. Youngs and the Del Hintons of Las Vegas are here building a summsr home for the Youngs. Jim Butler and his father of Bakersfield, Calif, are visiting the Howard Princes for a few days. The Wayne Barneys of Og-den visited the Frank Barneys. Ferril and JoAnne Barney left Sunday for Salt Lake, Fer-rill was to report to Ft. Douglas and JoAnne went on to Kimbcrly, Idaho to visit her folks. |
