Show The Word From Boulder ALICE ALVEY We're still having cold winds, we sure do need some storm. Garden stuff, is up but not growing fast as its been too cold. The Obe Wrights had his brother Youell from Calif, visiting for a week. Herman Weaver and Jimmy Underwood also of Calif, are here camping on the Mt. doing some fishing, its been pretty good from what I heard. The little boy, Randy Wright who was lost on the Boulder Mt. was found after he spent about 20 hours wandering a-round 3 miles from camp. He was with a group of Boy Scouts from up around Salt Lake. Most of the local men assisted in the search. Sheriff Middle-ton, Dr. Mason and other men c&uio from Panguitch to help but the boy had already been found. Blom Orraond's mother, Ev continued Inside) BOULDER (continued) Heaps of'6rem, and Blom's sister Eva Anne Kingsford and family-of Logan were weekend visitors recently, Peggy and Jackie Ormond went back up north with them to attend the wedding of Eva's son Robert and Patsy Moody. Jackie went to Logan to spend the summer with Eva Anne and Peggy is with Mrs. Heaps, her grandmother. The Dale Clarksons were here for i few days from Kan-ab. The Joe Covingtons and son and a friend are here from , Arizona at the King Ranch. An-" ha" Lee Hansen" was home from Cedar for a week's visit before she went to Logan for special schooling which will qualify her for a teaching position in Calif, next fall. Neal Henery . Jepsen and Elvon Poulson came , from Logan, Elvon went back up north to work and Neal Hen- , ery went to Calif, to work with , his uncle Alfred Jepsen. Mrs. Harrison and Pamela went to Farmlngton to stay for , a while and see about their home there, they plan on spen- ding the summer here. The Moosmans had son Jay C. of Tempe and girl Jewel Ivie of , Flagstaff and their families for , opening of fishing season. Two , of Jay C.'s kids stayed here , and Madge Moosman went to , Flagstaff with Jewel. Gertrude Ormond had her son Dee Moosman and part of his family at , her home for a few days visit. , The Harry Sabriskie family of Salt Lake visited in town and fished on the Mt. Mr. Bellston and family and some friends from Sallnawero recent visitors at the Richard Griffin home. Sandra Lyman comes home occasionally from Escalante where she has employment in Whi tie's Cafe, she was attending college In Cedar. Kent and Cleo Reed Lyman are in Wayne Co. working for Hugh King and Keith Taylor, Truman is still working out there too. Fay Jepsen and Uv-. on Roundy have taken over the janitor job for the church, Id-onna Haws had to give it up on account of her health. Gayle Alvey called and said he received word that bis son Douglas, who Is in Viet Nam with the Marines, is in a hospital suffering shrapnel wounds in his shoulder and stomach,, and a broken leg; he was scheduled to leave there for the States last week. Mrs. Eva Chase was taken to the Panguitch hospital last week with a fractured skull she received when the concrete lid of a water cistern fell on her head while she was looking to see how much water it still had in it. Kay and Linda Ormond have gone down on the Sandy Ranch to spend the summer with Carter. Cathleen Winter and son David have gone back to Rapid City, So. Dak. to visit the John Lillas, she left Richard with us. The Emeron Petersons and girls went to Springville to see son Jimmy and family who have moved there from Calif. Blom Ormond attended funeral services Jn Henrieville on Saturday for her aunt Margaret Barker. Kay and Merle Peterson took a group of boys and girls to the St. George Temple Saturday to do baptismal work. The LcFair Halls spent a day in Richfield on bus iness last week. Speakers in Sacrament meeting were Chase Shurtz, Rol Porter and James Munson. Jim Haws has been back to Chicago to a telephone course, the phones are not working this morning so maybe he's trying out something he learned back there. Burns Ormond has sold his ranch in upper Boulder to a man from Calif. The Cecil Grlener's girl De-ana Worthen and family .and Vllate's brother LJoyd Taylor and son of Milford are visiting here. Alan's brother Dick came from Wayne Co. for an overnight visit. The Lorin Moosmans had their girl Donna Jean Wilson and family of Salt Lake for a couple days visit last week, Donna Jean's husband Bruce tipped over coming around the Mt. on his motorcycle but wasn't injured. |
