Show U. A. C NOW INDUCTING STUDENTS INTO ARMY Section B of Students' Army Training Corps Bolng Rapidly Filled. Utah Agricultural College, Logan, Utah. Men are now being inducted Into the collegiato ccstlon (Section (Sec-tion B) of the Students' Army Training Corps at tho Utah Agricultural Agri-cultural College. Such induction induc-tion will continue until October 15, after which dato no further 'Inductions will bo made. It is highly Important, however, that men wishing Induction make application ap-plication early, If possible, beforo October 1, when work in tho S. A. T. C. boglnB. To bo eligible for Induction into Section B, men must bo registrants of me 5, 1917, Juno 5, 1918, August 24, 1918, or September 12, 1918, under the selective service act, they must possess at least thirteen thir-teen units of high school credit, and they must bo physically fit. To secure induction they must appear in person at the Utah Agricultural College, register for Work at the College, and pass a lihyslcal examination given by physicians provided by tho In-'stltutlon. In-'stltutlon. From tho dato of Induction In-duction members will bo housed and fed on the College Campus and receive thirty dollars a month pay. Tho Institution cannot induct hien into the vocational section, (Section A) of tho S. A. T. C. as far as is .known at present. These men must bo sent to tho Coliego by local draft boards. However these men may come to school as regular students and enter vocational courses. They will not bo members of tho S. A. T. C. and will not receive equipment, housing, rations, and pay. These men will bo Bubject to tho draft The fact that they are already in school at tho Col-lego Col-lego will increase their chances of being designated for Section A by tho draft boards, men so designated they will become members of tho S. A. T. C. with 7tfy and other privileges. Tho Coliego will maintain its regular courses for men not members of tho S. A. T. C, and for women. |
