Show 10,000,000 DESTITUTE BELGIANS BEL-GIANS AND FRENCH APPEAL AP-PEAL FOR CLOTHING. Beginning this week and continuing con-tinuing until next Moday, Sept 30, American Red Cross Chapters Chap-ters throughout Utah, Colorado, Now Mexico and Wyoming will do their utmost to collect 1C0 tons of used clothing for the 10,-000,000 10,-000,000 destitute people of Belgium Bel-gium and Franco who aro hemmed hem-med in behind tho Ilun military wall. Tho Comminsslon for' relief in Belgium, through Its chairman, Herbert Hoover, has appealed to tho people of America for 5,000 tons of clothing to prevent these unfortunate people from freezing freez-ing during tho coming months. The four states comprising the Mountain Division of tho Red Cross must do their shore during dur-ing "used clothes week." The relief commission will have charge of tho transportation and delivery of clothing. Red Cross Chapters have been instructed as to shipments to seaboard, tho kind of clothing, shoes and other articles required and will give tho general public all necessary Information. Chairman Hoover's eloquent plea for millions of unfortunates, in a cablegram to the Red Cross follows: "Th6 ten million imprisoned people in occupied Belgium nnd Franco aro facing shame, suffering suffer-ing disease and some of them death of lack of clothing' this winter. They must bo helped. I hope that the Red Cross will undertake a renewed campaign to obtain this clothing in America. Ameri-ca. It can como only from us.
