Show Team Makes Good Showing Last Friday's Salt Lake Tri-hune Tri-hune contained a very encouraging encourag-ing tolegram from Carl A. Badger, Bad-ger, captain of tho Utah Rifle 'team which is contesting for the National medals at Camp Perry, Ohio. Tho telegram stated that th6 Seate Riflemen may win title and cop the National taur-110. taur-110. Tho training' in tho use of tho now rifle has been exceedingly exceed-ingly interesting and profitable. 'Tho following arc tho members of the Utah team: Ora Lee, R. B: Harkness, R. C. WHIey, II. W. Sturges, Benjamin Williams, 'Fred Van Buren,J. V. Lambert, J. W. Arey, II. Betz and C. D. Masters, of Salt Lake City; L. A. Stoughton and F. Blotter of Logan; T. G. Marler of Ogden and E. V. Schneider and R. V. Daniels, both of Garland. Later R. V. Daniels and'E. V. Schneider returned from .their' trip to Camp Parry, Ohio, yesterday, yes-terday, where they liayc been with the Utah Rifle team. Tho team did well as there wore about slxty-flvo teamo with lower low-er records. Tho Marines won first placo and one of tho Navy teams came second. Each civilian civ-ilian team was given a short course in how to use, Bhoot and take care of rifles,.. An addltlon- tors for the big army of men that will come from tho last draft. Messrs Daniels and Schneider report having had a good time, besides receiving valuablo instructions in-structions and visiting somo of tho larger cities and historical places of tho east. |
