Spoke of the suffering and death that had befallen the city of San FrancUco. He and hi wife ami daughter escaped unhurt, but lost everything but their clothing. Said any thing wo can do to alleviate the suite ring of these unfortunate people would sure ly bo appreciated. He gave uu account of Ids missionary experiences in Germany Ger-many and horo a strong testimony. Wm. Lowo of Wlllard was tho next speaker and referred to thu duty of par; cuts to their children, also spoko of thu sympathy and aid wo ought to give to suffering humanity as they all were tho children of God. Counselor Manning stated that Wcdncday and Thimday of this week bad been set apart as days to receive atiythlug to relieve tho suffering people of California, Henedictlon by J, J. Thompson. I |
