Quite an important business meeting meet-ing was held in the Commercial & Savings' Bank on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, which was largely attended at-tended by the representative men of town. Among these present were Ben R. Eldredge, H. H. Cluff, John W. Turner, R. II. Dodd, J.R.Twelyes, W. D. Roberts, W. H. King, II. J. Maiben,.Ed. Knowlden, .Geo. Dusen-senberry, Dusen-senberry, Geo. Taylor, Don R. Coray, Geo. W. Shores, Wm, Probert, Chas. W. Smith, L. Holbrook, J. W- Bean, Herbert S. Pyne, W. D. Alexander, Ceo. W. Mickel, and others. Mr. II. H. Cluff was called to the chair, and Mr. E. A. Wedge wood was nominated as secretary. The articles of association were read, and on motion mo-tion of Wm. Probert, unanimously adopted. W. II. King moved to elect officers in accordance with the provisions provi-sions of the articles, which was done by the selection of the following gentlemen gentle-men to serve as a board of directors: R. II. Dodd, Ben R. Eldredge, S. S. Jones, Geo. W. Shores and C. W. Smith. The articles of incorporation specify that the n.me of the corporation ' will be "The Central Building Company," and that the real pstate tc be owned by them shall be part of Block 28, Plat B. The stock subscribed will be for the purpose of purchasing this land and erecting thereon a brick building or buildings, which the corporation is, by its articles, privileged to occupy, lease, let, rent and otherwise manage and control the same. The number and kind of the officers shall be: president, presi-dent, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, and five directors. A stockholder stock-holder to be eligible to hold office must be the owner of at least five shares of the capital stock of the corporation. Annual meetings of the stockholders are to be held, and each stockholder is entitled to one vote for each share owned. The officers, with tha exception excep-tion of secretary and treasurer, shall be elected from the board, but the secretary must be selected from the stockholders. Any officer may be removed re-moved for misconduct or other just cause. Three ' members of the board shall constituted quorum. The limit of the capital stock of the corporation is $20,000.00, divvied into 2,000 shares of the pair Yalue of $10 each.
