Show LET THE DAY COME. There are thousands in this territory who heartily endorse the following sentiments sen-timents from the Salt Lake Ilerald: The day is not for distant, in fact appears ap-pears to have dawned in. at least one county of the territory, when the Liberals, Lib-erals, having rendered the existence of the People's party unnecessary by the abandonment of their own party, the people of this territory will identify themselves according to their political tendencies, with the great national parties; par-ties; prejudices will be forgotten, and political necessity, as well asbrotheily patriotism, will render impossible so great a crime as the wholesale disfranchisement disfran-chisement of a people. But that day has not yet dawned over the entire Territory Ter-ritory and were the Liberals to gain control con-trol of the next legislature, either through the gerrymandering of the commission, the apathy of the people or by dishonesty, there is a strong probability proba-bility that Liberal success would be followed by Mormon disfranchisement. |
