The entire community is being asked to support a dyers woad clean-up day in Ogden Valley & Ogden Canyon before seeds drop. Saturday, June 2, 2012 Meet at Eden Park 8:30 a.m. Clean-up begins at 9:00 a.m. Coomes, Branden Daugaard, Gabriel Durrant, Keaton Green, Matthew Gunter, Gage Johnson, Krystal Kerr, Cooper Knighton, Darbie Mckinney, Zachary Mckinney, Adam Mortensen, Daniel Mortensen, Johnathan Nunn, Tyler Orkin, Haily Osmond, Madisen Perry, Timothy Riggs, Alyssa Williams DYERS WOAD cont. on page 12 with neighbors and family members, and be served lunch and participate in a raffle where great prizes will be given away, courtesy of area businesses. Meet at the Eden Park bowery at 8:30 a.m. for bags and instructions, and return at 12:30 p.m. for a lunch, which will be served to volunteers. There will also be gifts raffled off, provided courtesy of local businesses. Gloves and clippers would be helpful; if you have them, bring them. Remember, by state law, property owners are legally required to remove dyers woad, and other state-listed noxious weeds, from their property. For more information on state listed noxious weeds or help containing them, you may call James Parks, Supervisor of the Weber County Weed Department or the Weber County Office of the USU Extension Service at 801-399-8200.
