The public is invited to the point that the audit for the first six months of 1984 show the deficit reduced from the 864,000 of level, to only a couple thousand. He hopes the next audit, when it is released next month, will show, the AOG in a financially viable state for the first time since he became Director. His work has been in the trenches. Williams,' on the other hand, has an outstanding track'record for his AOG in St. George and has been to the Basin a couple of times to expound the positive AOG story. His last visit was only a week before the Uintah County Commission made their decision. Prior to that, Williams made a presentation to a special meeting of the UBAG Board at Bottle Hollow in August of last year. Mayor Sam Snyder and his City Administrator were guests at the meeting. At that session Williams defined an AOG and showed how his particular one had benefited all five counties in Southwestern Utah in the last year. He then asked the Board to evaluate where they wanted UBAG to be in the near future The hiring of Connelly seemed to be the Board's answer. As was mentioned in the September 6, 1984 story about Williams meeting with the UBAG Board, "The Board was very impressed and visable encouraged that UBAG could have a bright future." Although UBAG holds their next meeting in Manila on Thursday, the "visably encouraged" Board should be able to see a 'still brighter future with the addition of Uintah County back in the group. see Since 1866 Those taking the tour should wear subs tan rial footwear said Emil Antoine, Business Manager for Tyger Construction.
