booth of nephi I 1 E diehl of robinson was chosen as temporary chairman and james barnt 0 nephi as secretary the following committees were chosen permanent organization and order of business gus J before the convention wag again called to order ahe committee on permanent Ore aniza tion reported the selection of john S cooper of nephi as pe manent chairman W kelly of mammoth as seere tury E as assistant secretary and the nomination of the ticket in the order given elsewhere the platform committee and committee on credentials also made reports which were adopted for the office of representative of the district heibert hope of eureka was nominated by gus henrod who made a brief but fitting speech regarding the splendid qualifications of hie candidate the was made by acclamation hana J hasbell of mammoth was then placed in nomination for the four year term commissioner and received the nn endorsement ot the conven tion as did john L ellertson of mona foi the short berm commissio lames whitehead and charles za anskie both of earska were nominated for the office of sheriff the former se curing the nomination lor the office of bleik jacob Co leinan of nephi had no opposition there were three candidates for the office of ic corder as follows W J tre boning of eureka W kelly of mam moth and roy cowan of nephi the first ballot gave cowan 14 votes tregoning 10 and
