Show Basin Funding received by school district for horse show to be held special counselor A federal matching grant of $8,492.52 to aid the county in hiring a apecial attendance counselor for Indian students at Union high school was announced recently by district school Superintendent Thomas J. Abplanalp. Superintendent Abplanalp had noted in the funding request to the Office of Indian Education, Office of Education, Department of Health, Education, and Welfare that Indian students generally had a lower attendance rale than their caucasion counterparts. He also informed the federal agency rate that Indians has a higher drop-ou- t and a lower Grade Point Average (GPA). He cited several factors contributing to Wasatch County Fair to be held The annual Wasatch County Fair will take place in Hebcr City, August 1,2,3 and 4. The activities are scheduled to 411 open on Wednesday. August 1, with a Fashion Show, and also Horse Show, a Demolition Derby at 7:30 p.m., and continue through Saturday, August 5. Other events include tractor driving contest, horse shows, livestock judging and many exhibits. The City of Fun Carnival with rides and concessions will be located at the Fairgrounds.
