Show Summarell Bolton reception cancelled LEANN JACOBSON Mr. and Mrs. Peter R. Jacobson, Duchesne announce the engagement of their daughter, LeAnn, to Robert D. Diermier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Dier-mialso of Duchesne. LeAnn, is a graduate of Duchesne high school and has attended Utah State. Bob graduated from Ventura high school and Jr. College and graduated from the San Jose State University. He will be working on his teaching credentials and his Master's Degree. The couple have picked August 26, as their wedding date and will make their home in San Jose. at shower A shower was held in honor of Darlene Timothy last Thursday, July 18, at the home of Kathryn Mangan. A spotlight of Darlene's life was given, including a brief history and several pictures of her as a child and growing up, plus her engagement picture. Sixteen guests were present including Darlene's mother and aunt Everyone enjoyed visiting together as Darlene opened her many lovely gifts. Dainty refreshments were served. It was Pioneer with everything from Pioneer days, second prize was The Little League boys and 3rd was Altamont 1st with the theme "Travel and progress". There were many entries and a Urge crowd in attendance. Worship services for July 22, at the Myton Community Presbyterian Church were conducted by Mr. Bertel Arnberg, lay speaker from First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake and his son Richard, who is a student at the University of Utah. Mr. Arnberg's talk was based on a sermon written by a minister at the time of World War II, given in a church in Stuttgart, Germany; the church was later destroyed by bombing in the war. The fact was stressed that there is always a door open to God and that man need only ask for help that is available. The two speakers were also accompanied by Mrs. Arnberg and a second son, Norman, who joined the congregation in a fellowship dinner following the worship hour. Services for July 29, will be directed by Mr. J. D. Walker of Roosevelt, with special music furnished by a chamber choir from Vernal, with which Marsha Miller is connected. Marsha has been a soloist many time for Myton church services. This will be a first public appearance for the chamber choir; there is else a quartet made up of members of this group. Quilting continues each Monday and Wednesday at the church with a lunch each day.
