Ethel Ercanbrack returned home from the LDS hospital in Salt Lake where she had major surgery. She is feeling better and will return for a check up next Saturday. Judy Arnold from Arkansas stopped at her grandparents home, the Link Judds for a short visit. She was on her way to Linden, Calif. The closing social for MIA will be held August 1, everyone be at the Ballard chapel by 7 p.m. There will be a swimming party at the Roosevelt pooL Refreshments will be served. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cox, Kansas City, Kan., were here for two days. They are relatives of Nora Mathews, while here they visited with Hazel Shisler. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wein of California 2- - Lewis Arnold went to Craig, Colo., for two weeks in interest of the Magna Bar Business for whom he works. Patricia Kikel of Salt Lake and Shan-nLaraine Harris, Vernal, were involved in a two car accident on U. S. Highway 40 and knocked down some fence posts on the Hilda Arnold place, no one was hurt. Mr. and Mrs, Bud Thompson, Bonanaa spent the afternoon visiting at the Hilda Arnold home. were here from Rockland, Ida., for the reunion of Union's class of 1952. A very special pioneer program, under the direction of Rose Miller was held at Ballard Sacrament meeting Sunday night. A large crowd attended. are here visiting at the Bud Davis home for a week, both families spent the long holiday weekend at Paradise Park, camping and fishing. Mrs. Gene Kettle and children spent Thursday in Salt Lake. They all had an appointment with the eye doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Womack, have a new granddaughter born Friday July 20, to Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Womack Jr., at the Duchesne County Hospital, she weighed 7 lbs. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kettle. Great Grandparents are Earnest Betts, Thelma Womack, Vernal and Mrs. Cecil Dayton, Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Webb and family, Salt Lake were visiting here for the weekend with her parents, the B. Y. Whitmores, while here they all went to Flaming Gorge where they picniced and barbecued steaks. Mr. and Mrs. Wade Parrish and baby and Lyle Parrish of Logan were here for the weekend visiting their parents. jb Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler were in Logan for a tour sponsored by the USU Experiment station Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marett spent the weekend at the Karl Shisler home. They live in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poulson, Lorri and Todd visited with his sister, Elaine Shisler and family last Saturday. They a Clinton Dahlberg returned home Saturday from the St. Mark's hospital where he had received major surgery. He will return Wednesday for a rherkup.
