She is the daughter of Charles and Norah Goff of Kasville. She competed for the title against 16 other girls from northern Utah. Angie Gehrlein of Ogden was first attendent and Jodi Prowcll of Sandy became second atten-den- t. The pageant consisted of a personal interview with each of the five judges, swimsuit and evening gown competitions, and a stage interview with cmcec, Dana Robinson. The competitors performed a jazz dance for the opening number. Miss Goff was asked to respond to the question, you became Miss Teen USA and had the opportunity to talk to the youth of today, what would you tell them? Stephanie's response was, "1 would tell America's youth to love life and to remember that they are a great generation with tremendous possibilities. Life isn't always easy but if they have a positive attitude then they can reach any dream they wish.'
