Stress can be a result of any positive or negative stimulus that one encounters. Larry Stansifer, psychology major at Dixie College stated. Both of them cause the symp- toms of stress, and its only after something happens that the person will make a conscious decision whether its good or bad. Is stress good for a person? No, absolutely not. The symptoms of stress are, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and increased respiration. Also the pupils will dialate to adjust to the light of the environment. None of these symptoms are good for the body, because when the heart rate increases it puts a strain on the body and the risk of a heart attack increases. Stress will leave the body emotionally before the physical manifestions of stress disappear. Everyone has stress and learning to take care of it is very important for emotional and physical Eating the right foods and learning what is relaxing can help to reduce stressful experiences and help to overcome the times when a person feels hopelessness, and despair. There are not special foods that can well-bein- do increase it. Too many carbohydrates and too much caffine can raise the risk of stress, beccause they both increase the heart rate and blood pressure rate. Relaxing is very important for the body, and there are no right or wrong techniques for relaxing. Anything that offers time to think and place a problem aside relaxes the body.
