Signed Scared My Grandmother's Grave In the cemetery I took a walk Among the flags and flower's flocks I found the grave of my Grandmother I never knew Dear Scared You should tell your mom what kind of clothes you like Tell her that the clothes that she likes are nice but you would rather get the clothes that you like Soldiers want to remember That lots of soldiers Had to go to war and fight Some of the soldiers died I'm glad they saved Our country By Michael Ott 2nd Grade Mrs Barbara Stephenson I I dier a guard 7 There I hope I'll remember to fight And go out of my way! This IEISHMAN by ROl student attending West a High Taxes seem to be taken out of everything If it's not a 6 percent sales tax then it's an illegal drug tax stamp Nobody likes to pay any tax wjth the exception of the lottery The lottery is the only taxation of the people where the people themselves have a choice in whether or they participate to what extent they participate and where they won't be arrested or fined for tax evasion if they choose not to participate States that do have a lottery report noted increases in revenue most increases with million dollar figures I can't help but have one question in my mind: why doesn't Utah have a lottery? The only reason I feel is that the vote is not left up to the people For the bill to be brought to the people for a vote it must first go through the state legislature with a majority vote in favor of the bill It hasn't breeched the confines of our state capitol yet If the representatives in the capitol building were elected into office by the people to represent the people then why don't they seem to express the same opinion as the people? Don't they have faith in their voters to put such a delicate matter into their hands? After all it seems to me that a lot of people signed the petitions to bring this issue to a public vote! 4l (( raw f r? nil Precision Haircuts 2pr or & & QrrQ Styling uUy 9as Graduate to a fresh new lookl d Get out from behind your lawn mower with our affordable John Deere RX63 Riding Mower With p cut this John Deere rider and a walk-behin- 26-in- On-the-- ch turning radius no-clut- ch shift Adjustable seat convenient controls Bagger and thatcher available There's no better time to buy than right now See us today 2295 I includes cut Odd ch features: BODY PERM A U SALE PRICE 6-h- 1 J IMP SLE e D : ft KwSl Rob Leishman from TOTpj Jolm V water pump ' Why walk They're J then why can't they find some way of two-thir- jsmzm 0 making that money back both a gamble Let's have a lottery! asked Norm Bangerter why he voted against the lottery He replied that this form of taxation seems to hit the people with lower incomes harder because they tend to be the ones who buy the most tickets in hopes of "getting rich quick" It would seem to me that if an individual doesn't have money then they can't buy a ticket! After all they aren't being forced to buy the tickets Another argument was that it preaches false morals of getting something for nothing but so does a contest or raffle The only difference is that you buy a lottery ticket for one and you buy an item of food or other product for the other In conclusion I feel the evidence can only support one idea Utah should have a lottery After all if the people who represent us can buy a I week's student viewpoint is submitted styling warranty as low as $44 per month with approved financing At 18 APR for 30 months Nothing Runs Like a Deere HAIRCUT $595 JOHN D£ERE NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED BOINTIFIL KEARNS Today's Cryptoquote: TO MURDER CHARACTER IS AS TRULY A CRIME AS TO MURDER THE BODY — TRYON EDWARDS Crossword & Cryptoquote on DA-- 4 5100 3875 I'miil 912-287- S 74 K 500 S LAYTON Hill Mall Ulon ntrf) 298-855- 6 - TtiA Vnct Prnotlnn nf — RnQiitv fun You get to be meet new people Castle Country If I were you I'd go on a Memorial Day Vacation!
