Show School ro. n r SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY MAY 16, 2001 Og N By CinZ Nielsen a.&.a. Rodney Rebel Director of Dixie College East . Ive really never thought of myself as being ugly... moder-homely, perhaps. However, old dad once told me, dear iny Chick (he always called me Chick-perha- he thought I ps hatched out of an egg), your face is so ugly, they really ought to close it down on weekends! Dear old dad has been gone for socks off! Sometimes working for Dixie College is highly frustrating. Dixie proper has become large and unwieldy and, like most stitutions of higher learning, its policies have become written in stone. Old Rodney, as director of an evolving appendage in its for-wmative stages, hears from Dixie almost daily the shocked decree, in-ate- ly as You cant do that! Rodneys program is like putty, but I still havent bending and maneuvering, of a truly great come- - ing to meet Kanabs needs, back. Someday I will, pops, and Dixies is like granite, hard and The Junior Lariettes earned top honors at the SUU Waukeeyan Jr. Drill when I do, Im gonna blow your unyielding and geared to crossed Invitational held recently. And a tip of the chapeau to you, too, swingers of the steel shaft. You have represented Kanab in world-clas- s fashion. I got the shaft, once, too, but I think that was something completely different. Ah! Ah! Dennis, put away that red pencil! Summer classes begin this week, the week of May 14. Were hoping for at least five classes: ceramics, watercolors, communications, geography and American Civilization. Like Uncle Sam in an old World War II poster, I want you! Come and see me. Youll realize how empty your life has been without ever having made 01 Rodneys acquain- tance! The long gray line has a place for you. Fall in! P.S.
