XT1 Wr rum-scori- run-scori- Cowboys lose doubleheader to top ranked North Sevier By Kyle Brunner The first game of the double-headwas a tight one, with Kanab ending up on the short end of the stick. The second game, however, was all North Sevier. Kanab was designated the visiting team in the first game so they got the opportunity of hitting first. After going scoreless in the first inning, the Cowboys took to the fieldfor what would be a defensive battle. North Sevier could not find a way to score in the inning and were held to zero runs in the first. After two more innings of tough defense, the stage was set for the fourth inning. Jarre tt Douglass opened the inning with James a single to right-cente- r. Narramore followed him with a double putting Douglass on third and Narramore on second. A pinch runner was called for and he went to take the base for er it 'i iL ii i ng at Douglass. But, for some reason the batter was never into the lineup, and therefore was called out. The Cowboys were shocked and could not bring in either runner. North Sevier opened their half of the inning with a double right off the first pitch.
