Each elementary class produced a. class project with topics ranging from airplane flight to the best conditions in which to grow bean plants. Mrs. Cynthia Myers Third Grade won the elementary Grand Prize with their extensive study of hatching baby chicks in an incubator. The resulting chicks are now for sale. The Middle School Grand Prize went to 8th graders; Kin Henderson, Chip Knudsen and Eric Iverson. Middle School projects have been previously judged and the winning projects were taken to the Northern Arizona Regional Science and Technology Fair in Prescott, AZ. There the project J uicy Fruits made by 6th grad- ers; Jenell Lukus, Amanda Anderson and Deena Johnson won a second place. The project about soils and fertilizers made by Kin Henderson, Chip Knudsen and Eric Iverson won a fourth place. These students er organiza- tions that contributed to the costs of the Science Fair. A special thanks to the teachers, teacher aides and administration that helped with this learning activity. Judging was done by community members, U.S. Forest Service employees and personnel from Mohave Community College. Special thanks to all the students who displayed their talents and efforts. It was a fun experience. Fredonia High Fundraising and Activity Day Friday, April 14, the students ofFHS mil sponsor four events. The senior class will hold a car wash from 9:00 a.m.-4:0- 0 p.m. at the high school parking lot, featuring inside and outside cleaning. 0 From 1:00 p.m., all field will a fast pitch classes team and compete in a round-robi- n tournament. At 4:00 p.m. , the DECA Marketing Club will hold a BBQ Beef Dinner, and auction various items for a fundraiser as they prepare to travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the National Career Development p.m.-3:0- Conference. Later that evening, FHS students will present a play, Pure as the Driven Snow, in the Middle School Auditorium. All are invited to attend.
