PUBLIC NOTICE Virgin River watershed meetings scheduled At the request of the State of Utah, a local advisory committee has been established to direct completion of a watershed management plan for the Virgin River. This plan could effect land uses and development in part of Washington, Kar.e and Iron counties. The State of Utah currently has many programs to manage and pro- tect Utahs waters. The State has made a decision to address water quality concerns under a framework of basin-wid- e watershed plans to improve protection of Utah surface and ground water. This effort can only be successful with the participation and support of local organizations, private citizens and all stakeholders. The local advisory committee has decided to hold public meetings at the following dates and locations. All meetings will start at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. April 13: Hurricane, Hurricane City offices. Wednesday. April 1 4: St. George, Washington County Ad- ministration Building, Commission Chambers. Thursday. April 1 5: Orderville, ley High School Little Theater. Val- The meetings will discuss the purpose of the plan, how the plan can be completed, and how you can partici-j- n completing the plan.
