Sutanna Glovers attention to detail and direction made her invaluable as stage director and hostess to the judges. The day and evening events could not have gone smoothly, nor would they have been as enjoyable as they were for the audience without the technical direction of Dave Owens and his crew, Darrin Coleman as audio engineer and Denim Robinson on lights. No glitches or hitches, just great technical support. Julie Brown has been at this longer than anyone on the committee and still she continues to be active in everything from arranging for ticket booth and ushers, to set to follow up phone calls, to running practice interviews. Thanks Julie. A thank you to Lena Puro for her time spent helping improve talents and presentations by the contestants. Even Emcee Carl Lamar had to comment on the great script furnished by the long, hard ef- forts of Donna Casebolt. Thanks to Harriett Perkins and Laurie Merrell who never got to see the pageant or the eleventh Up, Nick Ramsay Shell, Nyle Willis-CP- Stacy Owens came through with rosettes for all the girls to wear. Special thanks to our ticket booth volunteers, ticket takers and ushers. Thanks to Beverly Stirland who spent time helping with details at the end. Results were provided quickly and efficiently by our volunteer auditors, Sherry Glover and Cindy Glover. There was no waiting for envelope from this team! Thank you. A thank you to those moms who came with their girls to practice and ended up helping to assemble the set in their spare time. Thank you to the faculty and staff of Kanab High School for sharing the facility with the community. Of course the pageant could not happen without the young ladies and their parents who support the program through their participation. I hope that the long hours, the practice, and the efforts will make a difference for them in their future regardless of the outcome of the event. And thank you to those who Macfarlane Higbee and Associates, Settlers Cove & Diesel Repair, and Southern Utah Title. Advertisements purchased by businesses in the program and those community members, friends and relatives who buy tickets and attend a great evening of entertainment also contribute directly to the awards given to the young ladies. Thanks to all for making this ; a great event! The Miss Kane County Pageant committee members are not paid, the hours are long, and the effort often unnoticed or even sometimes criticized by those who have not ever been a part of such a program. The committee is not a closed club or clique, those who have the willingness, new ideas to help take the pageant to the next level of excellence, or just want to support the young women of Kane County are encouraged to participate and join the crew!
