Snow removal sidewalk policy from KCPD The Kanab Police Department appreciates the businesses and property owners who braved the elements after the recent storm and removed the snow from city sidewalks. There is an ordinance that requires this and almost all involved complied. Concerning sidewalks, the Police Department has received several complaints from local citizens about motor vehicles and trailers parked on city sidewalks. There is a state statute prohibiting this situation. The purpose of this law is to allow pedestrians unblocked movement on our sidewalks. The Kanab Police Department asks everyone to be aware of this problem and not park any vehicle in an unauthorized area.
