At every region match, five designated golfers shoot 18 With archery season scheduled to begin early next month, forest managers are preparing for an expected 4,000 to 6,000 hunters to visit the North Kaibab Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest. With those hunters comes the potential for campfires and, if they get out of control, wildland fires. We welcome the visitors to the forest and want them to enjoy themselves while they are here, said Russ Truman, fire management officer for the North Kaibab Ranger District. We also want them to use caution, though, while they are recreating. Since the Kaibab National Forest lifted all fire restrictions July 28, there are no prohibitions on campfires or smokingin the forest. The most recent fire, which occurred yesterday about five miles north of Jacob Lake, was contained at a little over an acre.
